The crocuses are now covered in snow. A Nor’easter is dumping a few inches of slushy white stuff on our yard. I hear that folks further west are getting up to a foot. I’m happy to be getting the lesser amount.

The draw down is going well. The first thing to get sacked was the diet. It was near impossible to maintain a diet while also providing food for V and terrier_girl's fickle tummy. Everything in my life has conspired to need my attention RIGHT NOW. It is making me dizzy and stressed juggling all the different needs. This week I am getting more phone calls in a day than I would usually get in a month. And still I am getting things done. I am also remarkably happy. All's fine. V, Dargo, terrier_girl all doing well. V is a happy, babbling crawling 10 month old that is inspiring us to new heights of baby-proofing. She still doesn't sleep through the night, but she wakes fewer times and for less duration, so we're sliding in the right direction. Life is, if not good, extremely content. I feel good about my choices and how I spend by time. Having a baby has refined my priorities to the point of almost painful clarity. They include family, work (to fund the family), our community (our extended family), and fun (to keep me a sane member of the family).
